Privacy Policy

SentryPing is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app and this website do — and, more importantly, what they don't do — with your information.

The short version

The SentryPing app runs entirely on your device. It has no account system, no analytics, and no advertising. The monitors you create, the URLs and hosts you check, any authentication tokens you enter, and your check history never leave your device and are never sent to us or to any third party.

Information the app collects

None that leaves your device. Everything SentryPing needs to work is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad:

• Your monitors (names, URLs/hosts, settings) and their check history are stored in the app's on-device database.
• Any bearer tokens or request headers you add are stored on-device and are sent only to the endpoint you configured, when a check runs.
• Notifications, widgets, Live Activities, and the “Check Now” control are all generated on-device.

SentryPing does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not create an advertising profile.

Network connections the app makes

When you run a check or a Quick Ping, the app connects directly to the endpoint or host you specify — that's the whole point of the app. These requests go to your servers, not ours. We do not proxy, log, or receive the results.

This website

This website is served as static pages. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Standard web-server access logs (which may include your IP address and browser user-agent) may be retained by the hosting server for security and operational purposes, and are not used to identify or profile you.

The feedback form

If you choose to submit the feedback form on this site, we receive the message you write and — only if you provide it — your email address. We use this solely to read your feedback, respond to you, and improve SentryPing. Submissions are stored on our own server. We do not sell or share this information, and you can ask us to delete your submission at any time.

Children

SentryPing is a developer/operations utility and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
